Vision and values
Our school began serving the local Catholic community in 1830 under the direction of Marie Madeleine D'Houet, founder of the religious order, the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ). The sisters are still involved in our school today, serving on our Governing Body and contributing to the spiritual life of the school.
Our vision is that FCJ schools are communities of personal academic excellence. Strong in companionship, the unique giftedness of every person in these faith communities is recognised, nourished and celebrated.
Our hope and expectation is that, through God's grace, working in us all, each young person grows into their best self, with zest for life and the generosity and confidence to use their talents and gifts in the service of others.
Our school is underpinned by our mission - growing together through Christ with courage, confidence and dignity.
The way we treat ourselves and each other is based on the FCJ values of companionship, excellence, hope, justice, gentleness and dignity.
