City Safe Roadshow
The CitySafe Roadshow was launched at Maria Fidelis Catholic School on Monday 24th June 2013. 120 Year 6 students from Edith Neville, St Aloysius and St Mary’s & St Pancras were invited to workshops on staying Safe whilst traveling to and from school. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about the City Safe havens at Euston Station.
What a Young Person can expect from a CitySafe Haven:
• You can enter the Safe Haven and declare the danger or threat involved
• You can ask to be referred to a police officer
• Someone in the Safe Haven will contact your parent/carer or the police
• Someone in the Safe Haven will log the incident from your description
• You can wait in the Safe Haven until the immediate danger has passed and until the police arrive or your carer has been contacted.
The Event included a musical performance and featured guest speaker; Choice FM’s DJ Abrantee who gave an energetic and inspiring speech.
